While at St. Bonaventure High School, Marguerite earned 7 Varsity letters in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field.  Marguerite was also a member of CFS and the Honor Roll.

Marguerite was a starting varsity basketball player for 2 years from 1981 and 1982.  She held several school records and led her team in scoring, rebounding, steals and free-throws made and attempted during her career.  In addition she was the Team Captain in 1981 and team Most Valuable Player in 1982.  Marguerite helped led her team to Saint Bonaventure's first appearance in CIF playoffs 1981.  Marguerite was named Tri-Valley All League Second Team 1981 and Tri-Valley All League First Team in 1982.  She was selected on the Ventura County All-County All Star Team and Ventura County All-County Team in 1982.

As a Volleyball player Marguerite was an Outside Hitter.  She was a 2 year varsity starter from 1981 and 1982.  Marguerite was the Team Captain in 1981 and team Most Valuable Player in 1982.  Marguerite was named to the Tri-Valley All League Second Team in 1981 and Tri-Valley All League First Team in 1982.  She helped her team qualify to back to back CIF playoffs in 1981 and 1982.

In Track and Field Marguerite was a three year letter winner from 1980, 1981, and 1982.  She participated in the Shot Put, Long Jump, and High Jump.  She was the Team Most Valuable Player in 1981 and 1982.  Marguerite earned Tri-Valley All League First Team in 1980 and 1982.  She was a CIF Finalist in the Shot Put in 1981 and 1982.  Marguerite held a 20 year School record in the Shot Put.

Marguerite participated in Varsity Drill Team in 1980 and Song Leader in 1982.  Marguerite also received honors in Scholastic Performance.  Marguerite was named Saint Bonaventure's Kiwanis Scholar - Athlete of the Year in 1982.

After graduating from high school Marguerite attended Ventura College.  Marguerite participated in two sports; Volleyball in 1983 and Basketball in 1983 and 1984.  In Volleyball Marguerite was the starting Outside Hitter.  Her team record was ## - $%.  In Basketball Marguerite was a starting forward for two years.  As a player, Marguerite received several awards; team Most Valuable Player 1983 and Team Captain 1984; she was named Golden West All Tournament Team in 1983; Western State Conference Leader in Rebounds 1983 and 1984; Western State Conference First Team 1983 and 1984.  Marguerite helped Ventura College win its first Western State Conference League Champion in 1984.  From there Marguerite earned a scholarship from 1985 through 1987 to California State University Sacramento and again to played basketball.  She was a starting forward and led the team in Rebounds both years.  Her best career outing at Sacramento took place on Jan. 20, 1987, a 76-70 victory at home over Cal Sate Stanislaus.  Marguerite scored a career- high 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 36 minutes.  She was 12 - 19 from the field and 2 of 4 from the foul stripe.  Marguerite received her Bachelor of Arts Liberal Arts.  In 1989 and received her California Clear Professional Teaching Credentials and Special Education Credentials from California State University Northridge.

In the community Marguerite coached volleyball and basketball at the middle school level.  Marguerite also help support the Joseph Palmisano Memorial Basketball Camp.
